Eduardo A. Morato Jr. A Trilogy On Entrepreneurship: Growing the Enterprise

Book Three, Growing the Enterprise, nurtures and propagates the business venture. The first chapter documents the formation and evolution of three entrepreneurs and their enterprises. Lessons from the three case studies are abstracted into general guidelines for the gestation of enterprises into robust corporations. This is supported by a framework on the Enterprise Life Cycle and Life Forces originated by the author. The next four chapters of Book Three immerse the entrepreneur in the four functional areas of enterprise development: Marketing. Operations, Human Resource and Financial Management. Finally, Book Three tackles three more case studies on Asian family enterprises, spanning two or three generations, to highlight alternative enterprise growth strategies and expansion models. Again, the chapter abstracts invaluable lessons for the entrepreneur with a far-sighted vision and highly ambitious goals.

Джером К. Джером JEROME K. JEROME: Three Men in a Boat, Three Men on the Bummel & Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow

Three Men in a Boat, published in 1889, is a humorous account by Jerome K. Jerome. It is a story of three men, accompanied by a dog, as they travel in a boat up the River Thames. The book was initially intended to be a serious travel guide, with accounts of local history along the route, but the humorous elements took over to the point where the serious and somewhat sentimental passages seem a distraction. The three men are based on Jerome himself (the narrator J.) and two real-life friends, George and Carl with whom he often took boating trips. The dog, Montmorency, is entirely fictional. Because of the overwhelming success of Three Men in a Boat, Jerome later published a sequel, about a cycling tour in Germany, titled Three Men on the Bummel. Three Men on the Bummel (also known as Three Men on Wheels) was published in 1900, eleven years after his most famous work, Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog). The sequel brings back the three companions who figured in Three Men in a Boat, this time on a bicycle tour through the German Black Forest. Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow, published in 1886, is a collection of humorous essays by Jerome K. Jerome. It was the author's second published book and it helped establish him as a leading English humorist. While widely considered one of Jerome's better works, and in spite of using the same style as Three Men in a Boat, it was never as popular as the latter. Jerome Klapka Jerome (1859 – 1927) was an English writer and humorist, best known for the comic travelogue Three Men in a Boat.

Jon Robin Baitz Three Hotels

“One of the Ten Best Plays of the Year! ‘No longer merely promising, Jon Robin Baitz is now a major playwright.’” – Time Magazine"Jon Robin Baitz is the American theatre's most fascinating playwright of conscience. Three Hotels packs an emotional punch that lingers."–Michael Kuchwara, Associated PressDazzling audiences with the linguistic artistry, keen insights and comprehensive vision of Three Hotels, Jon Robin Baitz enhances his reputation as one of America’s most important playwrights. In three dramatic monologues that progress from intellectual cynicism to heartbreaking honesty, he reveals the emotional and physical wounds sustained by the foot soldiers of the conglomerates operating in Third World countries and, by extension, by all Americans adrift in the seas of international commerce and politics. Also included are several shorter works (Four Monologues, Coq au Vin, It Changes Every Year and Recipe for One, or A Handbook for Travelers), each of which, like Three Hotels, “is the fervent prayer that there will be something in this wrecked world to salvage.” Jon Robin Baitz is the author of The Film Society, Other Desert Cities, The End of the Day, and The Substance of Fire, which he adapted into a major motion picture. He was the showrunner on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters. He also wrote the screenplay for the upcoming film Stonewall directed by Roland Emmerich. He lives in New York.

Pinball, 1973 picks up three years after the events of Hear the Wind Sing. The narrator has moved to Tokyo to work as a translator and live with indistinguishable twin girls, but the Rat has remained behind, despite his efforts to leave both the town and his girlfriend. The narrator finds himself haunted by memories of his own doomed relationship but also, more bizarrely, by his short-lived obsession with playing pinball in Js Bar. This sends him on a quest to find the exact model of pinball machine he had enjoyed playing years earlier: the three-flipper Spaceship.

Kenneth L. Vaux Journey Into an Interfaith World

In this comprehensive volume, Dr. Kenneth L. Vaux explores the shared theological ground of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam-the common God, the common good, the common word, and the common work. Based on the premise that the three Abrahamic faiths are given by God for some purpose in God's universal history, Journey Into An Interfaith World traces the ways in which these faith movements flow together from and into each other in synergistic ways. At the same time, the book reveals how each fraternal faith has missed the mark in disassociating from its sibling traditions. Vaux's «journey» examines the spiritual genealogy shared by the three cognate faiths–from whom we come–as well as the mutual spiritual ontology–to whom we belong. «All three traditions echo the same refrain: 'Do we not belong to One God?'»

Джером К. Джером Three Men in a Boat (to say nothing of the dog)

Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog), published in 1889, is a humorous account by English writer Jerome K. Jerome of a two-week boating holiday on the Thames from Kingston upon Thames to Oxford and back to Kingston. The book was initially intended to be a serious travel guide, with accounts of local history along the route, but the humorous elements took over to the point where the serious and somewhat sentimental passages seem a distraction to the comic novel. One of the most praised things about Three Men in a Boat is how undated it appears to modern readers – the jokes have been praised as fresh and witty. The three men are based on Jerome himself (the narrator Jerome K. Jerome) and two real-life friends, George Wingrave (who would become a senior manager at Barclays Bank) and Carl Hentschel (the founder of a London printing business, called Harris in the book), with whom Jerome often took boating trips. The dog, Montmorency, is entirely fictional but, «as Jerome admits, developed out of that area of inner consciousness which, in all Englishmen, contains an element of the dog». The trip is a typical boating holiday of the time in a Thames camping skiff. This was just after commercial boat traffic on the Upper Thames had died out, replaced by the 1880s craze for boating as a leisure activity.[citation needed]. Following the overwhelming success of Three Men in a Boat, Jerome later published a sequel, about a cycling tour in Germany, titled Three Men on the Bummel (also known as Three Men on Wheels, 1900). Famous works of the author Jerome K. Jerome: Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow, Three Men in a Boat, Diary of a Pilgrimage, Three Men on the Bummel, Paul Kelver, All Roads Lead to Calvary.
